Solid Tungsten Heavy Alloy Counterweights Shape Customized For Plane / Vehicles
Due to high density but small volume, high melting point, excellent hardness, superior wearing resistance, high ultimate tensile strength, high ductility, well machinability, non-toxic and environmental friendly, high impact resistance and crack resistance, tungsten counterweights become more and more popular.
Tungsten material is widely used for counter weights, working as so-called tungsten weight in many fields, such as in racing car, yacht, airplane, etc.
Density of tungsten alloy could be ranged from 17.0g/cm3 to 18.5g/cm3, and the capacity could be reduced if it needs to be use in a small place. Besides, as its special properties, such as high hardness, wearing résistance, excellent elongation, well machining ability, it is a suitable material for counterweight for airplane.
Tungsten Heavy Alloy Counterweights Advantages:
- High density- up to 18.5 g/cm3.
- Up to 65% denser than Lead.
- Up to 130% denser than Steel.
- Mechanical properties to suit either dynamic or static locations.
- Weakly Ferro magnetic.
- Non-magnetic, if specifically required.
- Safe and environmentally friendly alternative to Lead.
- Non-Toxic.
- Corrosion resistant.
- Easily machined.
- Easily mechanically joined, brazed or shrunk fit to other materials.
- Equivalents to most commercial specifications available.
